Motorists ignore the Red Cross after an accident on the A12 | Inland

After a traffic accident, the Rijkswaterstaat blocked the exit with a car and cones. A red cross was also displayed on the matrix board above the road. The shared camera images show how dozens of cars and trucks ignore this and drive past a road inspector.

The Rijkswaterstaat is shocked: “We urge people not to do so. It really risks rescue workers, our people and road users. “There is a fine of 240 euros for ignoring a red cross.

No fines were issued because no one with this authority was present. The Rijkswaterstaat has already issued more than 3,000 fines for this infringement this year.
